Building a BI Capability from Zero

Challenge

Overdrive Interactive had a very basic Business Intelligence function. Reporting relied on manual Excel sheets and couldn't scale to meet the data demands of growing enterprise accounts.

Approach

Starting from a blank slate, I worked with the executive team to design the full BI architecture. We selected the tooling stack (Supermetrics, Django, BigQuery, Looker Studio), defined the data models, and built team capability to support it. The function was designed to serve both internal analytics needs and as a client-facing service.

Outcome

The BI capability became a core enterprise service offering and contributed directly to upsell opportunities and new client acquisition. It gave the agency a more credible story in competitive pitches.
